Should I Shroud?
Insights from a recent Shroud Making workshop were incredibly exciting – and have started to reshape how we will do death better at Walawaani Way.
Nesting Boxes & Tree Planting
The fabulous men at Woody’s Men Shed located in Bodalla hand-crafted our first Nesting Boxes! Different sizes for different birds and mammals including the Australian Owlet-Night Jar, Crimson Rosella, Eastern Rosella, Ringtail Possum, Kookaburra and Glossy Black Cockatoos. Hopefully they find these ideal nesting boxes… we’ll wait and see!
Talks in the community
Fiona and Olivia Andrews were invited to talk at the Yila Healing Festival - about natural burial and Walawaani Way. It was located in the beautiful Cambewarra Cemetery in the Shoalhaven Council. It was a good turnout and we spoke about the growing movement of natural burial cemeteries around the world and the services around them. There were lots of questions which was great as it’s a new topic for many people.
