Compassionate Care Collective
Our wonderful and growing Community…
The Compassionate Care Collective is a group of heart-led people in the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley regions, in its early stages of working together to build a creative, compassionate community around death, dying, caregiving, loss and bereavement.
It is an inclusive network of end-of-life doulas, carers, health professionals, volunteers and community members, guided by values of courageous connection, inclusivity and heart-led relationships.
The Collective’s shared vision is to foster a supportive community equipped with the knowledge and confidence to navigate death and grief, reducing fear and stigma so that compassionate, informed support is available to all along the whole journey.
While this vision continues to evolve, grassroots activity is already well underway through regular Death Conversation Circles in Bermagui, Malua Bay and Moruya, with facilitators Kerryn Davey, Deepika Mistry and Anneke Barnes holding space for deep, meaningful conversations around death, dying and grief. In the coming months, these gatherings will expand to Pambula, Tathra and other towns, as Collective members step forward to host events in their own communities alongside the founders as co-hosts.
As it continues to build, the Collective envisions supporting and partnering with events and initiatives that align with its vision and values, helping to weave compassionate end-of-life awareness more deeply into community life.
